Why does the Mac app ask for permissions?
macOS asks you to allow two things. Accessibility lets Timerfly see which app is in use; Screen Recording lets it read website addresses and window titles, and take screenshots if your company uses them.
- 1In the Timerfly app, click the gear icon to open its settings.
- 2Under Permissions, click Allow next to Accessibility, and switch Timerfly on in the window macOS opens.
- 3Do the same for Screen Recording.
- 4Timerfly restarts itself once so macOS applies it.

Until both are allowed, the app says “Permissions missing — sites and window titles aren’t being tracked.”
