Timerfly

Timerfly + Payroll & HR (Excel, Tally, greytHR, Zoho Payroll)

Payroll needs a clean list: for each person, days worked, days absent, leave and hours for the month. Timerfly gives it as an Excel file from Reports, and on Business, through the API for systems that import automatically. Timerfly doesn’t connect to payroll software directly — the file is what those tools import.

On every plan, and in the 14-day free trial.

What you get

  • Reports → Export to Excel (a CSV file that opens in Excel or Google Sheets): one row per person for the dates you pick, with days tracked, hours (total, productive, idle, offline), absent days, extra hours before and after the schedule, and average arrival.
  • The API’s days endpoint: one row per person per day, marked worked, absent, leave, holiday or day off, with arrival, leaving time, hours and late / left-early flags.
  • Leave approved in Timerfly counts as leave, not absence.

Set it up

  1. 1Make sure schedules (or shifts) and holidays are set: absence is counted against each person’s own schedule.
  2. 2Open Reports, choose last month in the date picker, and click Export to Excel.
  3. 3Import the file into your payroll tool, or copy the columns it needs. On Business, a developer can pull the same data from /api/v1/days every month instead.

Questions

Is there a direct Tally or greytHR connector?

Not yet. The Excel export has what those tools need; if you want a direct sync, tell us which tool — it moves up the list when a customer needs it.

Which plan is the Excel export on?

Starter and above (and the trial). The API is on Business.
