Timerfly + n8n
n8n suits teams that want their automations on their own server. A Webhook node receives Timerfly’s events; a Code node can check the signature so only genuine deliveries run the workflow.
On the Business plan, and in the 14-day free trial.
What you get
- Attendance into your own database or ERP as people start work.
- Leave and time entries synced to internal tools behind your firewall.
Set it up
- 1In n8n, add a Webhook node with HTTP method POST. Copy its Production URL — it must be a public https:// address that Timerfly can reach.
- 2In Timerfly, go to Settings → API & integrations → Webhooks → Add webhook, paste the URL and choose the events. Copy the signing secret it shows.
- 3Optional: after the Webhook node, add a Code node that recomputes the signature (see the developer docs) and stops the run if it doesn’t match.
- 4Activate the workflow and press “Send test” in Timerfly.
Questions
Our n8n runs inside our office network. Will it work?
Timerfly only sends to public https addresses, so expose the webhook through your reverse proxy or a tunnel with a valid certificate.
Which plan is it on?
Webhooks are on the Business plan, and in the 14-day trial.
Every event, field and endpoint is in the API & webhook documentation.
